Timeline

  • Advanced Geosciences, Inc (AGI) 1989
Development of the Sting R1 resistivity meter. A first in Geophysics with a built in microcontroller and memory
  • The Sting R1 is introduced 1991
Took the world by storm and changed the course of the geophysical resistivity method
  • Swift Automatic System 1993
The worlds first commercially available automatic electrode data collection system for the Sting resistivity meter
  • The Sting Cave found 1994
The first underground cave found using the new Sting/Swift automated resistivity system from AGI. The novel idea was that this cave was found while testing the Sting/Swift system on a shallower (2m deep) known cave. The Sting Cave was located at 8m depth and had no entrance to the surface.
